Named as one of the leading bankruptcy and restructuring attorneys in Delaware by Chambers USA, Jeffrey has over 25 years of professional experience relating to the financial industry, first as an economist and then as an attorney.
Jeffrey has represented the interests of all types of parties in many of the largest bankruptcy cases in the U.S. since the early 1990s. He represents domestic and international clients, with highlights including the representation of Major League Baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers bankruptcy and ad hoc bondholder committees in the two largest Delaware chapter 11 filings ever (Washington Mutual; Energy Future). Recent representations of chapter 11 debtors include businesses in the following industries: electric vehicle and energy storage; pallet leasing and logistics; event rental services and products. In addition, Jeffrey represented a Russian-based purchaser in a billion dollar acquisition of a European based company in a “prepack” chapter 11, an official committee of equity holders in the mega case of an international shipping company, a group of more than 20 franchisees located throughout the U.S. in the restructuring of a temporary staffing company and a large creditor of an oil and gas Texas-based company.
Jeffrey is a certified mediator for commercial disputes. Jeffrey completed an intensive mediation training program at the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. He is a member of the Mediation Panel for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and is certified as a mediator by the Delaware Superior Court.
