Representative Professional Activities and Achievements

Meredith Aden is a 1997 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received her B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, she worked as an investment banker in the High-Yield Debt Group at Schroder & Co. (now part of CitiGroup Global Markets).

Professor Aden received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003. In 2006, she received her LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, with highest honors, from The George Washington University Law School. She practiced for three years at Wise Carter Child & Caraway in Jackson, Mississippi, specializing in antitrust law and professional liability.

From 2007 - 2012, she served as the Director of Legal Writing at Mississippi College School of Law, where she designed and implemented a new curriculum for the 1L Legal Writing Program. While at Mississippi College, she coached the school’s mediation teams and arbitration competition teams. Those teams collectively won three regional championships, advanced to the national competition five times, and one team was a semi-finalist in the national competition.

In 2010, she was honored by the Mississippi College School of Law Moot Court Board with an Outstanding Service Award.

Professor Aden is also an avid Alabama football fan.
